Winter wonderland
So last winter I worked full time until I had Caitlyn in January and after that life was miserable because it was too cold to do anything. Well this winter will be different. So my question is what does everyone do when it is too cold to go outside? Let's brainstorm.
1. library
2. mall
3. ...I'm out
So if anyone has brilliant, or not brilliant ideas about what to do in the winter please let me know.

Due to the craziness of the holidays i am not going to have a book club until January. But we are going to read the Secret Lives of Bees and then go see the movie all together next week, so if you haven't read it yet read it and then come see the movie with us - it will be lots of fun.

The Greatest Day of My Life
best day of my life
(next to my wedding day and the births of
Lindsey and I went to....
So You Think You Can Dance concert!!!!
(Sorry the picture is a little blurring)
It was so awesome!!!
If anyone is guessing I am a huge fan and now I am an even bigger fan of
SYTYCD
This is me and Linds keepin' it real after the concert; we are so cool. I was also excited because we were not the oldest people there.
You can bet I am going to start saving for front row tickets for next year.

Great Friends
So I was so excited to get a call from my friend Katie letting me know that she was in town. As we got to reminiscing I remembered what great times we had and how many great friends I have. So this post is dedicated to the great friends that I have made and the great times I have had.
I have made such great friends; I hope we can always keep in touch and even though we all live in different states and only see each other once a year, I hope we never forget these moments. And not to get even more sappy or anything, but I want all my friends to know that I love them and that I will always be here to listen and be a friend. And all of the friends that I have that are not pictured here, I love you all too and I am so grateful to have such a wonderful support system in my life.

Glorious Day
This is a picture of Xander dressed up for his first Halloween. I thought today would be a fitting day to put this picture up because today is one of those great mom days. After being up all night with a sick child, changing poopy sheets, no naps, temper tantrum in the post office, and chasing a child around Albertsons while holding an 18 lb baby in the other arm - I splurged on a little bit of chocolate and a couple of Diet Dr Peppers and I am now ready to say how grateful I am to be a mother.

Book Club!!
I have decided in my quest for intellectual stimulation I am starting a book club. We are going to meet every last Tuesday of the month to discuss the book we have read. I have chosen a book this month:
After the Dancing Days by Margaret Rostikowski
Description of the book: Is war a thing to be forgotten? That's what Annie's mother would like to do. She wants to forget the pain and heartache--and to keep it away from Annie, too. But Annie cannot forget the death of her favorite uncle, who was killed in France. She cannot forget Andrew, the angry young veteran she meets at the hospital where her father works. Can Annie find the courage to help Andrew? And will she ever be able to make sense of a war that took so much from so many?
Drawn to the Kansas hospital where her father cares for wounded World War One veterans, Annie meets Andrew, a disfigured young soldier. As Annie helps Andrew slowly adjust to his wounds, she also faces devastating truths about war and the complex world of adulthood. ‘A girl on the brink of womanhood comes to terms with the brutal aftereffects of war in an absorbing novel. If you can't meet with us stil read the book and just make comments here or whatever. If you want to chose a book you can get on Orem Library's website and see their list of book club books they have and I can get a dozen books to pass out. Or you can just pick a book and we can find them on our own. Let me know. I think this could be a great way to get out once a month and have some fun.
Also If you need a book I have a bunch that I can lend you for the month. This should be an easy read and hopefully it will be a good one. I hope you everyone can get involved.

my baby is going to school
And this is
This is a picture of Xander on the day he was born.
And this is my baby on his first day of preschool. It was way more traumatic for me though. When I got there he said "Mom can I get out of the car now." So I took him out of his seat and he took the teachers hand and walked right into the building without looking back. I almost cried as I realized that life would never been the same. He is getting so independent that he doesn't need me to hold his hand anymore - and this is only preschool. I got over it pretty quickly when I got home and I realized how quiet it was.

and 5 Cute Grandchildren
You are a beautiful example and inspiration to us all and we love you. I hope you have another 50 years left in you (as long as you don't go crazy) because there is so much more ahead for you.

New Place
The day you all have been waiting for has arrived - pictures of our new place!!! wOOhOO!!! It was built in the 70's so it has a lot of character and we love that.
There is Caitlyn rolling/army crawling around on the floor in upstairs family room equiped with those wonderful green curtains that were custom made for this home!!
Of course I saved the best for last - - One of the two bathrooms came with this beautiful gold, metallic floor!!! The picture doesn't quite do the sparkly floor justice, but just imagine what a glorious sight it would be. SCORE!!!
All joking aside we love the new place it everything we need for our family to grow up. Xander turned 3 a week ago and got a Nintendo DS for his birthday which he loves. He plays super mario and thinks it is hilarious when he dies.
Caitlyn has started crawling too. She has two teeth now and does this army crawl where she pulls herself with her arms and pushes with her toes.
