This video is a little bit old, but it is Caitlyn hiding with a pen and paper because she knows she is now supposed to be playing with them.

I know I stink at this whole blogging thing. Between working 30+ hours a week, two little hellions and trying to keep my house as clean as my clean-freak mom keeps her house, time is limited. It's been like 6 months so lets see if I remember how:
Xander had his 4th birthday yesterday. We got him a bike and that is all he has been riding it ever since; he loves it!!

We had a family birthday party which was fun. We had cake, opened presents and played kickball which may have been too much for Grandpa Bart...

I would also like to start a series called "Things Caitlyn Puts on her Head". Here are a few examples although there have been many that I have not been able to capture in the moment.

Xander's new bike helmet, which she wears every moment Xander is not wearing it.

Also featured is Caitlyn wearing the Lego Container (notice she is wearing the same clothes in both pictures because this was the same day.) Now I understand the concept that people seeing this might think, "okay so she puts things on her head, what is so cute about that." All I have to say to that is that as her mom everything is cute. And there will be more to come.

Hello!!! Its a been a long time since I posted anything. Don't think that it was because I was really busy, quite the opposite, there is only so much I can post about changing diapers and cleaning my house, but I thought I would give an update.

Caitlyn is walking now, wonderful....We have also noticed her personality coming through and it is a little frightening at times. She is kind of a bully. Below are pictures of her picking on Xander...Yes she is not even 1 yet and she is picking on a 3 1/2 year old...And she thinks it hilarious!!!

We went to Temple Square to look at the Christmas lights which was a lot of fun...My mom gave Caitlyn a new coat with a little fur hat, she looked like a little russian. (And everyone we passed kept saying how adorable she was, just kidding, I am not one of those parents).

Xander was so excited to wake up to snow today. He got his snow pants on and played outside and ate tons of snow, while Caityln stayed inside with me where it is warm and wished for the warm weather once again.
So anyway we are doing great!!! I feel like I haven't seen anyone for so long I hope everyone is doing great!!!

Winter wonderland

So last winter I worked full time until I had Caitlyn in January and after that life was miserable because it was too cold to do anything. Well this winter will be different. So my question is what does everyone do when it is too cold to go outside? Let's brainstorm.

1. library
2. mall
3. ...I'm out

So if anyone has brilliant, or not brilliant ideas about what to do in the winter please let me know.

Book Club Postponed

Due to the craziness of the holidays i am not going to have a book club until January. But we are going to read the Secret Lives of Bees and then go see the movie all together next week, so if you haven't read it yet read it and then come see the movie with us - it will be lots of fun.

The Greatest Day of My Life

So yesterday, Tuesday September 23, 2008 was the
best
day of my life

(next to my wedding day and the births of
my 2 children of course)

Lindsey and I went to....
So You Think You Can Dance concert!!!!

(Sorry the picture is a little blurring)
It was so awesome!!!
If anyone is guessing I am a huge fan and now I am an even bigger fan of
SYTYCD

This is me and Linds keepin' it real after the concert; we are so cool. I was also excited because we were not the oldest people there.

You can bet I am going to start saving for front row tickets for next year.
